We're excited to announce that this month, we're rolling out a fresh wave of updates. Our dedication to innovation remains steadfast, and we're proud to present a host of new features that will completely redefine your app experience. Get ready to be impressed as we bring you improved functionality that will reshape your interaction with Leaf. We continue to push the boundaries. Don't miss out on this transformative release – let's dive in and explore what's in store for you this month!
Introducing: Trips ✈️ 🧳
Scheduling a weekend getaway to the beach or backpacking across Europe? Well, you can now take Leaf with you. We are finally going international (on iOs). We’ve added 50+ international cities. We’re making it easily to collaborate with your travel buddies & bundle your plans for the entire trip, ensuring everyone is in-the-know.
How it works:
Select Plan a Trip and add a photo, name, destination city and start/end dates.
Add locations you’re interested in.
Manually create a plan for each day of your trip or select Plan Suggestions and Leaf will automatically create plans for you.
Add Collaborators. This is your crew for the trip. Collaborators will be able add locations and make plans.
Introducing: Save the Date 📆
Not ready to discuss the details? Delay detail wrangling or create personal reminders. We are proud to introduce a digital “Save the Date." This feature empowers you to delay worrying about the intricate details and set a future date. Keep it as a personal reminder or share it with your friends instantly (or along the way).
How it works:
Select Save a Date.
Select a future date (up to 1 year).
Select a label (i.e. Dancing, Movies, Food/Drink, etc.) or create one of your own.
That’s it. You can keep it as a personal reminder or share your Save the Date with your contacts.
New: Are you available? 🗓️
Never truly know when your people are available to hang out? Well, we’re solving for that. Each week, we will proactively ask Leaf users days and times they are available. We will then let you know when your Top People or People You May Know are available for plans. We will do the hard work so you don’t have to.
Update: Group Plan Suggestions 🪄
We’re moving group plan suggestions to your notifications. You’re welcome? Private or closed group owners will now be able to enable weekly recurring plan suggestions that will appear for all group members in their notifications. Group plans will be suggested on a weekly basis, starting with the most upvoted locations in each group. This way there will always be something on the calendar for you and your crew.
Other Updates
Add Custom Locations to active plans - Awhile back we introduced custom locations, but you could only use them when initiating a new plan. Now, you’ll be able add your custom locations to active plans.
Enhanced Venmo Descriptions 🧾💸- Splitting the bill is one of the more popular features, but it’s been difficult for the payer to know if all items are accounted for and if the money received is accurate. No worries! We are fixing this. Now when the payee settles up & proceeds to Venmo, the payer will noticed Venmo descriptions include quantity and items selected by the respective payee. This just feels right.
Hide Promotions 🙈 - We are adding additional perks for Leaf + users. You will now be able to hide promotional content from your homepage.
Extended Plan Start Dates for Basic Users 🗓️ - Not a Leaf+ user yet? Tired of only being able to make plans up to 2 weeks in advance? Well, we are extending it to 30 days. We’ve heard you loud and clear.
Here’s what’s scheduled for September:
Chat Message Suggestions - We are leveraging AI. Yes, AI to suggest messages to send in the plan chat, saving you time so you can get ready to be there on time.
Suggest A Location - Not the plan host, but very opinionated? Plan attendees will be able to suggest locations to the plan host with a couple of taps.
Themes - Need some unique plan ideas? We’ve developed over 50 unique themes to spice up your local plans. These themes can be added to your plans at the tap of a button. Themes include dress-up ideas or challenges (e.g. no-phone use policy, “who ordered the best meal?”, or “you order for me and I order for you”, and more)
Personal Note Add-on 📝 - Leaf allows you to add private notes about each location you visited or saved. Now you will have the option to share those notes with other plan attendees to help them make decisions about things like specials, what to order, or times to go.
