We’re back at it again. We're thrilled to unveil the exciting array of new features that will transform your app experience like never before. We believe in constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation, and this latest update is a testament to that commitment. Prepare to be amazed as we introduce you to enhanced functionality, seamless navigation, and cutting-edge tools that will revolutionize the way you interact with Leaf. New: Repeat Plans From History 🔁
With just a simple tap of a button, you can effortlessly replicate and recreate plans. Whether it's your goto hotspot or you’re reconnecting with the crew after a long hiatus, this intuitive feature eliminates the hassle of starting from scratch each time when creating a plan. Seamlessly integrating with the your existing history, it takes care of all the logistics, setting up the plan and sending out invitations with a simple click. This enables you to spend more time enjoying the company of your friends and less time organizing. Plan, repeat, and cherish unforgettable moments, all with the convenience of a single tap.
New: Interaction Milestone Celebration 🤝
Leaf is all about bringing people together. So, we want to celebrate with you as you connect and interact with more and more people. This feature will trigger a celebratory “pause” as you continue to connect with more and more people through Leaf. Hint: Today, you can visit your profile in the app to see the number of people you’ve interacted with through Leaf. I’m at 57 interactions across a whopping 326 plans! Can you beat that?
New: Recurring Group Plans 🔁
Always meeting up with the same group of people each week or month? This feature is for you. Group owners will now be able to setup recurring plans (weekly or monthly) that will appear for all group members. Plans will be created on a regular basis, starting with the most upvoted locations in each group. This way there will always be something on the calendar for you and your crew.
New: Google Maps Integration📍
We’re making navigation easier than ever before—seamless integration with Google Maps, a build upon our existing Apple Maps integration. Say goodbye to the days of switching between Leaf and Google Maps to find your way. With our latest update, you can now access precise, turn-by-turn directions with Google Maps from directly within Leaf. When you’re simply looking for the quickest route to your favorite spot, our integrated Google Maps feature has got you covered.
New: History Search 🕰️
“What’s that one place we visited 2 weeks ago?” "Have we visited this place before?” “Do they have a happy hour?” Ever asked these questions? Well now you’ll have the answer at your fingertips after a quick search through your history. Leaf keeps a running log of your past plans and locations, so you’ll be able to easily search by location, plan name, or location notes from the History tab.
Other Updates
Make Plans Shortcut- As more and more plans get scheduled, it’s a hassle to scroll to the bottom of the home page to find the “Make Plans” button to make yet another plan. So we’ve moved it to the top, so it’s always in view.
We’ve also added “Make Plans” shortcuts to each user’s profile so you can easily make plans with your favorite pal.
Custom Locations Shortcut 📍 - More and more Leaf users are creating custom locations to invite folks over to their home. We want to make that easier to do. So, we’ve added a shortcut on location search to add your custom locations right when you need them.
Share Photos Shortcut - After checking in, you will now have the option to share your photos to the group or publicly.
Here’s what’s scheduled for July:
Trips 🇵🇭🇧🇷🇿🇼 - Scheduling a weekend getaway to the beach or backpacking across Europe? Well, Leaf is finally going international (on iOs). We’re making it easily to collaborate with your travel buddies & bundle your plans for the entire trip so everyone is in the know.
Themes - Need some unique plan ideas? We’ve developed over 50 unique themes to spice up your local plans. These themes can be added to your plans at the tap of a button. Themes include dress-up ideas or challenges (e.g. no-phone use policy, “who ordered the best meal?”, or “you order for me and I order for you”, and more)
Who’s Availability (and when) 🙋 - We often hear: “I didn’t know they used Leaf.” - This feature will solve for that. Each time you create a plan, we will suggest other available Leaf users that you know. We’ll leave it up to you if they are worthy of your invite. 😉
Personal Note Add-on 📝 - Leaf allows you to add private notes about each location you visited or saved. Now you will have the option to share those notes with other plan attendees to help them make decisions about things like specials, what to order, or times to go.
